Hello there, we are so happy to upload our first-ever game(prototype) made for the Game Dev TV Game Jam 2024.

Controls

• AD/Arrow Left, Arrow Right:  to move the character
• Mouse Move: to point at targets
• Mouse Click: to shoot
• Escape: for the Pause Menu

Mechanics

•  Falling Rocks: Dodge or destroy these rocks to stay alive.

•  Health Decrease: Lose hearts over time.

• Health Regeneration: Destroying rocks replenishes your health.

• Increasing Difficulty: As you score points, the rocks fall faster and your health drains quicker.

We're five0nine.studio, a passionate duo forging our path in indie game development 🔥🔨. "Arrow" is our first-ever prototype, created for the Game Dev TV Game Jam 2024!

My wife, the talented artist behind the stunning visuals, hand-drew all the beautiful assets you see in the game. As the programmer, I wrestled with the code to bring it all to life and exterminate all the encountered bugs.

Game Lore

Elara, the Last Sentinel. Elara wasn't always a lone warrior defending a crumbling wilderness. She belonged to the Everwood, a thriving elven civilization nestled within ancient mountains. Their lives were attuned to nature, their magic woven from the whispering leaves and the strength of the earth. Disaster struck not in the form of a malicious force, but a natural cataclysm. A monstrous earthquake shook the very foundations of the mountains, toppling trees, splitting rivers, and sending tremors that threatened to tear the Everwood apart. Panic gripped the elves, many fleeing to seek refuge in distant lands. Elara, however, refused to abandon her home. A skilled archer with exceptional focus and unwavering spirit rose as one of their fiercest defenders. Now, she stands alone, the last sentinel of the Everwood. Standing amidst the devastation, she saw not a world ending, but a world reshaping. With unwavering determination, she vowed to become the guardian of the fractured Everwood. Armed with her enchanted bow, "Whisperwind," forged from the last living branch of a special tree, she stands amidst the ruins. Each arrow she unleashes carries the fading magic of the Everwood, a precious resource she must use wisely to defend her home from the encroaching dangers.
